In the middle of the week, two special vehicles designated MUV 74 M-S from the CZ LOKO plant in Česká Třebová are heading to Sofia. In the Bulgarian capital, the transport company Metropolitan Sofia will put them in operation in the metro during track maintenance. The first vehicle is equipped with a work platform for access to the overhead line. The other is fitted with a hydraulic arm and snow plough, as the metro line is partially routed on the surface. During September, staff training will take place in Bulgaria and the two vehicles will be put in operation.
“Transport companies are an important segment of our business interests and we certainly have a lot to offer them. In addition to universal motor trucks with all kinds of superstructures and platforms, we also offer EffiShunter 300 locomotives. These locomotives power work trains during the maintenance of metro tunnels and tracks,” says Jan Kutálek, Sales Director of CZ LOKO.
One EffiShunter 300 shunting diesel-electric locomotive was ordered from CZ LOKO this year by the transport company Metro Warszawskie, which operates underground transport in the Polish capital. The company will use it at the depot near the Kabaty station for technological operation between unit maintenance halls. At the same time, it will serve as a backup if there is a power outage and metro units are stuck in tunnels.
After a large contract for the supply of 50 MUV 75 special vehicles for the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC), CZ LOKO now sends its special vehicles to Bulgaria and seeks to enter other markets of the European Union.
